Understanding the problem
Volume status is hard
Volume or fluid mismanagement affects 4 million Canadians with kidney disease, 2.4 million with heart disease, and 3 million with liver disease.
Shortness of breath, poor mobility, low blood oxygen levels, low blood pressure, more hospitalizations, and even death can be prevented
Our goal
We are currently focussing on end stage kidney disease patients on dialysis, a small subset of everyone we will eventually help
How do we measure fluid?
Such a simple question with an elusive answer.
Our standard of care uses history and physical exams which are riddled with poor accuracy.
The gold standard, Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) is comprehensive and accurate, but is time consuming and requires an experienced physician
We use bioimpedance, plethysmography and AI to provide an instantaneous answer as accurate and comprehensive as PoCUS - but within seconds
Evidence based, always
We believe in evidence, we believe in patient oriented outcomes - our goal is demonstrate outcomes such as lower hospitalizations, lower morbidity, and a better quality of life at lower healthcare costs.
